The birth of Britta’s Animal Training and Pet Services

In June of 2012, I launched my business, Britta’s Animal Training and Pet Services, offering over twenty-five plus years’ experience working in the animal field.

During this time, I have trained volunteers for the County of San Diego’s Department of Animal Services; worked as a trainer and instructor at Rancho Coastal Humane Society and developed a program called “Junior Animal Trainer,” which was offered at Mira Costa College’s “College for Kids.” The program focused on teaching children how to clicker train, how to use enrichment to benefit their dogs and discussion of potential careers working in the animal field.

Personal

I am an eighth generation San Diegan and grew up on the beach between Del Mar and Leucadia. Growing up on the beach and spending countless hours in nature, combined with my mother’s love of animals, shaped me into the animal loving person I am today.

I have three businesses and I reside in Carlsbad, CA. In my down time, I enjoy yoga, riding my bike up and down the coast, swimming in the ocean, photography and hanging out with my three kitties, Jewel, Valentino, and Romeo.
