Our dogs are raised in our home and are part of the family. My (Sabre’s) first Labrador, Boone, started my love for the breed with his beauty, loyalty, personality and eagerness to please. He lived to be 15 years old and my heart was broken when his time was up. It took another almost 15 years before I could bring myself to get another one. My next one, Buper, quickly became my Heartdog. A bond I never expected to be possible with a dog. By definition a HeartDog is your soulmate – your souls true counterpart and forever a part of your emotional existence.
