Dog Training

Brittany Linkenheimer is a certified behavior and training specialist receiving her certification from the world-renowned Karen Pryor Academy, a graduate of Starmark Academy’s 3 certification program, an AKC Evaluator, and has her BFA. Brittany worked in customer service for over ten years until deciding to follow her passion for working with animals which she continues to utilize her customer service skills today by not just focusing on the animals’ needs but also the needs of who care for them allowing both people and animals to work together as a team. Brittany has trained all over the country in private animal welfare and training and nonprofit animal welfare and training. Brittany utilizes positive reinforcement techniques in her training methods and is committed to providing the most effective methods of instruction and guidance for the animals at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland as well as the Greater Portland community. Brittany has found working for non-profit organizations to be tremendously fulfilling and rewarding and looks forward to building the next success story of improving the lives of animals in need and ultimately finding their forever home. When not working, Brittany enjoys spending time with her own rescue dogs, Patty and Gomez.
