Hi Jordi! Read your post and have to say that that's totally normal. A lot of dogs are really picky with toys, and it’s not just about the breed. Your dog clearly loves the rope, which probably means he really enjoys tugging and the feel of it.

Instead of trying more random toys, you might have better luck with:

Different kinds of rope/tug toys (varied size, knots, handles)

Tougher rope hybrids (rope + rubber/squeaker)

Making playtime with you more fun — some dogs care more about the game than the toy itself

So yeah, it’s pretty individual — and it sounds like you’ve already figured out what he loves! 😄
