Field training a Brittany in Lowcountry humidity
Scout's got the drive for hours of work but Charleston humidity does not care about drive. Cut sessions to 20 min bursts with real shade breaks, moved everything to sunrise, and honestly still catch him overheating faster than up north where I trained my last dog. Anyone else running a sporting breed through a genuinely humid climate and had to completely rebuild their training schedule around it?

Back in my day we just trained whenever and figured the dog would manage, but I'll admit your generation's got the right idea cutting it short and watching the clock. Wish I'd known better with my first Beagle
