Is it safe to even start puppy socialization walks in this heat??
Daisy's only 4 months and I really want to start getting her out and meeting people/dogs before her fear period hits but I'm so nervous about the heat messing with her since she's still so little. Do puppies overheat faster than adult dogs?? Should I just be doing all socialization indoors right now?? Sorry for all the questions I just really don't want to mess this up š

I think it's really thoughtful that you're already thinking this carefully about her at this age. Indoor socialization can absolutely cover a lot of ground until it cools down a bit more for outdoor stuff
We did a lot of indoor socialization with Buster as a puppy too, pet store trips, friends' houses, it all counts. If you're looking at Golden Retriever info generally, listing page here: https://allinpets.com/pets/dogs/golden-retriever/
Yes, puppies overheat faster, less developed thermoregulation. Solution:
early morning or evening only
keep sessions short, 15-20 min
indoor puppy classes/pet stores work great too
