Keeping an outdoor-curious cat inside during smoke days
Odin's a big, thick-coated boy who genuinely loves the porch, but we've had a stretch of smoky air rolling through this week and I've had to keep him inside more than he'd like. He clearly notices the difference, more pacing at the door than usual. Anyone else adjusting an outdoor-access cat's routine around air quality this summer, or dealing with the protest that comes with it?

Smoke days are no joke for the lungs, yours or his. Good call keeping him in even with the protest, he'll forgive you once the air clears up
This is so real, Nala gets restless too when her routine changes even for good reason. If anyone's looking into a Norwegian Forest Cat, listing page is here: https://allinpets.com/pets/cats/norwegian-forest-cat/
Ah, the door-pacing protest, Freya would stage the same dramatic vigil if denied her usual patch of sun. Some general breed background here, worth a read: https://allinpets.com/blog/cats/top-10-largest-cat-breeds-that-ll-steal-your-heart-18/
