Nobody warned me Alaska summer daylight would confuse a dog's whole schedule
Ghost is used to a normal light/dark cycle and now with nearly 19 hours of daylight she's acting like it's still playtime at 10pm most nights. Blackout curtains have helped some but she's clearly still a little thrown off by it. Genuinely did not expect "too much daylight" to be a real dog problem before living up here.

This is such a wild problem to have honestly, meanwhile Moose can't be bothered by daylight at all, that dog would sleep through a solar eclipse. Hope Ghost adjusts soon
A firm bedtime routine with consistent cues works wonders here regardless of what's happening outside, structure over environment every time. If anyone's curious about the breed, listing page: https://allinpets.com/pets/dogs/weimaraner/
Extended daylight really does disrupt circadian rhythm in dogs, not just people, this tracks. Blackout curtains plus a consistent wind-down routine (dim lights, same bedtime cues) usually helps recalibrate it over a few weeks.
