Vermont is not supposed to feel like this and Grey is very confused about it

We had a real heat stretch roll through this week, which almost never happens up here, and Grey's spent most of it flattened out on the basement floor like he's questioning his whole understanding of summer. Normally he's a window-sill cat all season, barely needed to think about heat before. Feels strange prepping cooling strategies for a state that's usually planning for snow eight months out of the year.

Maine's been the same this week, weirdly hot for people who own zero air conditioners on principle. Moose has taken up permanent residence in the basement too, at least Grey's got better company down there than a giant dog hogging all the cool tile

Milo's the same, entirely unprepared for anything above 75. If anyone's curious about Russian Blues, listings here: https://allinpets.com/pets/cats/russian-blue/

Cats acclimated to cooler climates really do struggle more when a heat spike actually hits, less built-in tolerance than a cat from a hotter region might have. Related breed context here: https://allinpets.com/blog/cats/top-10-largest-cat-breeds-that-ll-steal-your-heart-18/
