A water-loving breed and the mosquito conversation that comes with island living
Kai spends a good chunk of most days swimming, ocean when we're lucky, a pond nearby otherwise, true to everything this breed's built for. Vet pointed out that all that time near standing and slow-moving water is exactly the kind of exposure that makes prevention non-negotiable here, aloha or not, the mosquitoes do not care how nice the water looks. Staying consistent with him year round given how much time he spends near it.
