Thinking about a second Lab and the price range out there is all over the place
Ranger just turned 4 and I've been half-thinking about a second dog for him to grow old with. Started looking at Lab puppies and one breeder wants $900, another wants $2,800 for what looks like the same thing on paper. No idea what's actually driving that gap or what I should be watching for beyond the sticker price.

Good time to compare a handful of listings side by side too, not just go with the first one you find. There's a solid range of Lab breeders posted here across different states: https://allinpets.com/pets/dogs/
The spread makes sense once you break down what's actually included. AllinPets just put out a detailed cost guide on exactly this for Labs, worth reading before you commit to anything: What Does a Labrador Retriever Puppy Really Cost in 2026?
