Freya's flowing coat is, admittedly, her greatest feature, but it is also nearly impossible to fully inspect after a walk through anything resembling brush. I have taken to a very methodical section-by-section check every single evening now, parting the coat layer by layer rather than a quick surface glance. A long-coated breed changes the entire calculus of what "checking for ticks" actually requires.

This is such a careful routine, Freya is lucky to have someone willing to do the full methodical check every night instead of just a quick glance.
