Chili's built low to the ground and long enough that checking her properly means going belly, chest, under the "armpits," the whole undercarriage basically, not just the usual spots people check on a normal-shaped dog. Started doing it systematically front to back every evening instead of just a quick pat down. Takes longer than I'd like to admit but her build genuinely puts more of her in contact with grass and brush than a taller dog gets.
