An early fall reminder that Percy's indoor status still doesn't excuse skipping prevention

Windows have been open more often lately now that the weather's finally pleasant enough to enjoy, which means exactly the kind of exposure the vet warned me about months ago is still very much in play. Renewed his dose on schedule regardless of how autumnal it's starting to feel outside. The season changing does not change what a mosquito needs to get indoors.

Good discipline staying consistent even as the season starts to feel safer. Percy's better off for it.

Open windows in nice fall weather are actually a classic overlooked exposure point, good that you're staying consistent through the transition. There's a solid piece on why this matters regardless of season: https://allinpets.com/blog/dogs/heartworm-prevention-for-dogs-doses-testing-and-treatment-63/
