Ember's flea allergy reaction looked completely different than I expected on hairless skin
No fur to hide behind means every irritated patch is fully visible immediately, which honestly made spotting it faster but also made it look way more alarming than it probably was. Vet confirmed flea allergy dermatitis from what was likely a single bite, treated it, cleared up within days. Hairless breed owners, has anyone else found skin reactions present differently on a Sphynx compared to what you'd expect on a coated cat?

Glad it cleared up fast for her, that must have been a little scary seeing it so clearly right away though.

Makes sense that visibility would be higher without fur to obscure it, probably why it looked more dramatic than it actually was underneath.
