This is a small thing but I think it's kind of funny and I'm curious if it's a Siamese thing or just a Luna thing. Before she drinks water, she'll sort of stalk up to the bowl low to the ground like she's hunting it, paw at the water a little, and then drink. She's 4 months old. I don't think anything is wrong, I'm just curious if anyone else's cat does this or if it's specific to certain breeds. She's eating and drinking normally otherwise so I'm not worried, just curious.

Seconding the whisker fatigue theory David mentioned — it's a real documented thing, fairly well known among cat owners who've looked into "why won't my cat drink from this bowl" type questions. Wide ceramic or glass bowls tend to help if it ever seems like more than play.

Screening for fit upfront is cheaper for everyone, including the dog, than dealing with a mismatch after the fact.
