Otis's test came back clean, farm cat lifestyle and all
Vet ran the annual heartworm test at his checkup last week given how much rodent and outdoor exposure he gets running the barn, came back negative, prevention renewed without hesitation. Feels good having actual confirmation instead of just assuming a working cat's fine because he seems healthy day to day. Recommend any other farm cat owners get the same peace of mind if it's been a while.

Nice to hear a clean result, especially for a cat doing real outdoor work every day. Sounds like a well-run operation over there.
A cat with an actual job on the farm deserves the same level of care as any working animal, glad he's clear. If anyone's curious about the breed, listing page here: https://allinpets.com/pets/cats/burmese/
