Bear's still shedding like it's April, not July
Normally the big undercoat blowout tapers off by late June for us but this year it's just kept going. Milwaukee's had a weird mix of hot days and cooler nights and I wonder if the temperature swings are confusing his coat cycle. Brushing daily still, just longer than usual this season. Anyone else's cold-climate breed running a delayed or extended shed this year?

Nature really does its own thing regardless of the calendar sometimes. Bear's lucky to have someone keeping up with all that brushing though, can't be easy this long into it
Tracking Yuki's brush output too, roughly 20% above last year's same-week average so far. If anyone wants current Malamute listings: https://allinpets.com/pets/dogs/alaskan-malamute/
Temperature swings absolutely mess with coat cycling, seen the same with Kenji this year, longer shed window than normal. Northern breeds are especially sensitive to that kind of inconsistency: https://allinpets.com/blog/dog-breeds/american-akita-a-powerful-and-loyal-guardian-12/
