Finn's water time picked up even more this week, adjusted the check routine accordingly

More splashing means more time near standing water plus more chances to pick something up in his coat while he's at it. Full check right after every session now instead of waiting until bedtime, wet fur hides things just as well as a long coat does. Water-loving breed owners, anyone else had to tighten the timing on checks specifically around the wet activities?

The dedication to a cat's water hobby is honestly beautiful to witness. Smart move tightening up the timing around it.

Never thought about wet fur adding its own hiding factor on top of everything else, that's a smart adjustment. If anyone's curious about the breed, listing page here: https://allinpets.com/pets/cats/turkish-van/

This tracks completely with what I do for Kai after his swims, wet fur really does hide things until it dries out fully. There's a solid piece on proper timing and technique: https://allinpets.com/blog/dogs/tick-prevention-for-dogs-62/
