Kicking off August with the same prevention schedule, no summer-ending shortcuts

Some people start easing off parasite prevention once school shopping ads show up like the season's basically over, but mosquito and tick activity doesn't care what month the calendar says. Athena's on the same monthly schedule she's had since May and staying there through at least October regardless of what the weather starts doing. Calendar dates are not a substitute for actual local conditions.

Same schedule here through fall regardless of the month, easing off early is how people end up with surprises later. Listing page here for anyone considering a Doberman: https://allinpets.com/pets/dogs/doberman-pinscher/

Good point, prevention timing should follow actual temperature and activity data, not a mental calendar of "summer is over." There's a solid resource on why consistent dosing matters year round: https://allinpets.com/blog/dogs/heartworm-prevention-for-dogs-doses-testing-and-treatment-63/
