Where I landed on natural remedies versus the vet's flea treatment plan
I always want to try the gentlest option first (calendula, diluted apple cider rinse, that kind of thing) but when Sage developed a real reaction last week I did go with what the vet actually recommended rather than stubbornly sticking to natural-only. Turns out you can layer both, natural for general skin support, medical treatment for the actual flea allergy issue itself. Wanted to share in case anyone else feels torn between the two camps.

This is such a balanced way to think about it honestly, glad you didn't let pride get in the way of what actually helped her.
respect for not being stubborn about it once it got serious lol, glad Sage is doing better. listing page here if anyone's into Bengals: https://allinpets.com/pets/cats/bengal/
Reasonable approach, natural support and evidence-based treatment aren't mutually exclusive when there's an actual diagnosed reaction involved. There's a thorough piece on treatment options worth reading: https://allinpets.com/blog/dogs/flea-allergy-dermatitis-in-dogs-signs-causes-and-treatment-64/
